My Story

Dr. John Capitanelli, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist and cardiovascular disease specialist. With over 40 years of experience in cardiovascular medicine, he offers comprehensive, procedure-focused care, ranging from coronary interventions to complex arrhythmia and structural heart treatments. As a seasoned clinician, Dr. Capitanelli is recognized for his expertise in angioplasty, stenting, and atherectomy, helping thousands of patients achieve better cardiac outcomes. He is known for his compassionate bedside manner and leadership in interventional care.

Dr. Capitanelli earned his medical degree from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara Facultad de Medicina and completed his residency in internal medicine at Mountainside Hospital, followed by a cardiology fellowship at St. Joseph’s University Medical Center. He holds board certifications in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology from the American Board of Internal Medicine and is also certified in nuclear cardiology.
